Prices researched on 20 October 2026. Accountly prices are selected commercial fees informed by a small public sample, not a statistical Cyprus market median. Where comparable standalone rates are scarce, the scope-based fee is identified as such. All Accountly prices exclude VAT and independent audit. Standalone fees apply to separately commissioned services, not as additional charges for work included in the €190 monthly accounting package. Support for the contracted work is included.
Fees reflect a defined professional scope. Public packages vary in frequency, transaction limits and included filings; these comparisons are indicative rather than like-for-like quotes.
HP Accounts Published monthly packages begin at €149 and €349 for different volumes. Separate starting fees include €650 for year-end preparation, €120/month for reporting and €45 per backlog month for cleanup. Package scope differs from Accountly.
Evidentrust Monthly starting prices of €70, €150 and €300 are associated with different annual transaction allowances and quarterly bookkeeping. These are package comparisons, not identical monthly service scopes.
EasyCorporate cost guide A provider-authored guide gives indicative VAT-return fees of €100–€200 and payroll fees of €20–€50 per employee monthly. These are indicative ranges, not binding quotes.
Fidesta 2026 fee schedule The 2026 schedule separates a VAT-return starting fee of €200, payroll processing at €50 per employee and company-return execution and filing fees. VAT is additional under that provider’s schedule.
OpenAccountants fee page Publishes a European service catalogue with low-entry tax, accounts and catch-up fees. Its mixed-jurisdiction scope makes it a secondary reference, not a like-for-like Cyprus quote.
Preparation-only annual accounts, reporting and cleanup had limited comparable public evidence. Their listed fees are commercial choices, not independently established market medians.
Accounting is easier to buy when you separate the jobs. Bookkeeping records and reconciles the transactions. VAT reporting looks at the relevant treatment of those transactions for a particular reporting period. Payroll turns approved employment information into the agreed pay calculations. Annual accounts describe the business over a financial year. A company tax return draws on completed accounts and the supporting tax work. These activities relate to one another, but buying one does not automatically mean every other task is included.
For a new business, the first sensible step is usually to establish reliable records and a regular handover. For a business changing accountant, the priority may be the opening balances, outstanding returns and the next filing date. For an owner whose books are current but whose decisions still feel uncertain, a management reporting pack may be more useful than another compliance service. Start with the problem rather than the longest possible service list.
Each page below explains the deliverables, the information your accountant needs, the boundaries of the price and the questions worth asking before you sign. Use those details to prepare a specific enquiry. You do not need to know every accounting term. A clear description of the business, the work that is missing and the result you need is enough to begin a useful scope conversation.
A recurring bookkeeping arrangement creates a rhythm. The business supplies agreed information, the accountant records and checks it, and both sides resolve questions before the next period piles up. A one-off return or annual accounts project has a more defined start and finish. It still depends on the quality of the underlying records. A return-preparation price should not silently become a promise to reconstruct a year of missing documents.
That distinction matters when comparing quotes. One business may already have reconciled books, a clean trial balance and a complete supporting file. Another may have a bank export and a folder of invoices with no agreed opening balances. The name of the final deliverable can be identical while the work required is very different. Ask what assumptions support the fee, what happens when those assumptions prove wrong, and how a revised scope will be approved.
Your existing Accountly monthly offer remains €190 with support included for the agreed accounting work. Standalone services have their own prices. The service agreement should make any overlap explicit. If VAT preparation, a report or an annual task is already included in your package, it should not be added again without explanation. A clear annual cost view is more useful than a low monthly headline that hides the jobs you will still need.
Accountly uses Sumly, and you receive access to your business figures and reports around the clock. That visibility helps you ask a better question than “is everything fine?” You can look at the available numbers, identify a movement you do not understand and discuss it with the person doing the accounting. The software is a shared view of the work, not a reason for either side to skip supporting documents or review.
Before the first handover, agree which bank accounts, payment providers, sales channels and document sources belong to the business. Decide how missing invoices will be flagged and who supplies explanations for unusual transfers. Where personal spending has touched a business account, identify it honestly rather than choosing a convenient expense category. An accountant can investigate an unclear entry much more efficiently when the owner explains what actually happened.
Keep authority access separate from ordinary software access. A person being able to see accounting reports does not mean they can submit a return on your behalf. The scope should identify the relevant registrations, authorisations, approvals and submission evidence. Use the same principle for handovers. Preserve the old accountant’s final records and the new accountant’s opening position, so the change of provider does not create a gap that nobody owns.
Accountly is a technology platform connecting businesses and independent accounting professionals. Your matched accountant provides the accounting work. Before you begin, you should know who that professional is, what they have agreed to deliver and what they need from you. The website describes service options. The engagement documents establish the actual arrangement for your business.
The Accountly guarantee is concrete. If your matched accountant makes an error or misses an agreed filing deadline, Accountly arranges the full correction and pays the resulting fines. The covered work, relevant deadlines and claim process belong in the written agreement before services start. The guarantee is about accountability for the contracted work. It does not turn tax properly owed by a business into an accounting fee or promise that an authority will never ask a question.
Support for the agreed work is included. Ask whether a cost is unclear, what a report means or which records are missing. A new legal entity, a historic investigation, a specialist international transaction or a separate filing can require a new scope. The right process is to explain that boundary and agree any additional work first. It should be possible to ask where the boundary is without receiving an unexpected invoice just for asking.
The listed prices make the starting conversation concrete. They do not mean every business has the same number of transactions, employees or unresolved accounting periods. Read the unit as carefully as the amount. A fee per return is different from a monthly retainer. A price per employee needs to be considered alongside any payroll minimum. A catch-up price per historical month still depends on the records and volume agreed for that month.
Ask for the service scope, the expected frequency, the approval process and the treatment of VAT in writing. Check whether government charges, independent assurance, registrations, annual employer work or specialist advice are separate. Annual accounts preparation is not an independent audit or review. A company tax return is not the same document as a company annual return filed with the Registrar. A useful quote should remove those ambiguities before payment.
Our research checked public provider fees on 20 October 2026. The sample is small and packages are not identical. Some prices were published starting fees; others were indicative ranges or broader service catalogues. We selected commercial prices informed by that evidence, retaining the founder’s existing €190 monthly offer. We do not present the result as an official tariff or a measured median for every practice in Cyprus. You can inspect the research links and compare the actual scope yourself.
If you are moving from another accountant, list the returns already submitted, the periods still open and the next action expected of you. Ask for the latest trial balance, bank reconciliations, supporting schedules and authority correspondence. Keep copies of your engagement and any termination conditions. A well-organised exit makes it easier for the incoming accountant to establish what is complete and what still needs attention.
Agree a cutover date and responsibility for each period. The outgoing accountant might finish a specific return while the incoming accountant begins the next month’s records. Alternatively, an unfinished period may need to be transferred with a documented list of gaps. Either approach can work when the responsibilities are explicit. Avoid assuming that a new accountant has accepted an imminent filing simply because you have had an introductory conversation.
The same approach works across Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos and the government-controlled Famagusta district. Location helps describe your operation and any local logistics, but the entity’s obligations and the agreed professional scope determine the work. Our regional guides give practical examples without claiming local branches. Start with the relevant service, read the guide for your area, and prepare an enquiry that says what you want to be different.
